Do I even want to know?
I’d imagine any explanation would just spoil it.

Why I should be prevented from going to farmer’s markets.
I somehow managed to return with two sea urchins and an emu egg.

ATM Death, a drama in 5 parts.
This ATM rebooted as we walked past it today. I started watching it just as the OS/2 Warp logo splashed across the screen.

Panasonic DMC-LX3
So today I was wandering through central park and I saw an eagle perched on top of a dead squirrel. Unfortunately I had my infrared camera in my hand at the time and couldn’t pull out my SLR in time to take a picture of the eagle flying off with the squirrel. Frustrated by this, and impulsive as ever, I walked to B&H photo (which someone told me is awesome) and picked up a Panasonic DMC-LX3. Being that this is the same camera as the much more expensive Leica D-LUX4, albeit sans Leica firmware and red dot, I expected to get a good point and shoot with decent photo quality. Holy crap did I ever. My digital point and shoot background is almost entirely using the Canon SD series of cameras. All 4 that I’ve owned have had the same weakness, great outdoor shots while indoor shots were either blurry or washed out by the horrible flash. The f/2.0 lens in the Panasonic solves that at the expense of some pocketability. I took it out to a fairly dim, but damned tasty, restaurant tonight, left the flash off and shot some pictures over diner. Here, without comment, are a couple of the results:
Verdict: tempted to get rid of my SLR.
